What's the BUZZ all about?

Since 1996, the Buzz Robotics team has participated in the FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotics Competition. The team consists of engineers from Hamilton Sundstrand Space, Land & Sea in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and students and teachers from Enrico Fermi High School and Enfield High School in Enfield, Connecticut.

The Competition Season

This season, BUZZ plans to compete at:

The BAE Systems / Granite State Regional in Manchester, NH.
The Northeast Utilities FIRST Connecticut Regional in Hartford, CT.
The FIRST Championship Competition in St. Louis, MO.
BattleCry at WPI (postseason).
The Beantown Blitz (postseason).

2011 FRC LOGO MOTION™

The 2011 FRC game, LOGO MOTION™, was played by two competing alliances of three robots. Each match started with an autonomous period, during which robots operated independently. Then drivers took control of the robots. Alliances hung inflated tubes, with shapes from the FIRST logo, on scoring grids. At the end of the match, mini-bots were released to race up metal poles for bonus points.
